The Bosch i Gimpera Foundation will participate in the day ‘From Science to the Market’
The Bosch i Gimpera Foundation (FBG), the knowledge transfer office of the University of Barcelona (UB), will participate in the From Science to the Market, which will be held on October 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the spaces of StartUB!
Professionals from the FBG with a long history of knowledge transfer – apart from participating as teachers in various trainings of the same program – this year will be in charge of moderating two round tables as part of an activity aimed at people interested in discovering how companies systematize innovation, how they link with the university and the key role that researchers play in this process.
On the one hand, the head of the Business Creation Area of the FBG, Jose Conde, will moderate the table on the university innovation ecosystem, where he will reflect on the role and relationship between companies, the spin -offs and the university. The professor of the Faculty of Biology and member of Bluephage, spin-off of the UB, Anicet Blanch, will take part in the round table; the co-founder and director of GoodGut, Mariona Serra; and HIPRA’s director of human health, Carles Fàbrega.
On the other hand, the head of Technology and Knowledge Commercialization of the FBG, Salvador Mena, will moderate a round table on corporations and public-private collaboration. The head of Specializations of ManPower, Noelia Castillo, will speak; the co-founder of FRACTUS, Carles Puente; and BMTA manager Denis Guilhot.
From Science to the Market is the free program for the transfer and promotion of scientific entrepreneurship promoted by the University of Barcelona, the Autonomous University of Barcelona, the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, the Pompeu Fabra University and the University of Girona.
