CPT – UB Thermal Projection Centre
The Thermal Projection Centre (CPT) is a research centre of the University of Barcelona with over 25 years of experience in the field of surface engineering whose main goal is to provide solutions in the field of materials engineering in new processes and products. The CPT was created in 1994 with the mission of becoming an active technological agent at the service of companies, and is nowadays a reference centre in surface engineering, both nationally and internationally. Its main activity is the development of research and technological innovation projects in the field of surface engineering using the most advanced thermal projection technologies. The CPT employs a team of 25 people, and has three activity centres and the best technologies in the field of thermal projection. Some relevant data about the CPT are: more than a thousand contracts signed with companies, 65 doctoral dissertations produced, 35 published patents, and 400 publications in international journals.
