The spin-off Braingaze allows users and patients to test its innovative mobile application designed to reduce ADHD symptoms.
University of Barcelona (UB) digital cognitive health spin-off Braingaze allows users and patients to test the innovative app they have launched designed to reduce ADHD symptoms through cutting-edge gaze-based technology. The company is offering limited access to BGaze Focus, an early pre-commercial version of a neurobiological attention-enhancing video game that will help reshape the future of ADHD care.
To ensure that BGaze Focus meets the needs of its users, Braingaze is calling on parents, teachers, adults and children with ADHD and clinicians to join the beta testing programme and help shape the future of ADHD care.
This early access opportunity allows participants to help refine a tool that is poised to have a significant impact on ADHD care. For more information, click here.
A new approach to ADHD support
ADHD affects an estimated 5-7% of children in Spain, but many families struggle to find effective solutions. More than half of children prescribed medication discontinue their use due to side effects such as anxiety, sleep disturbances or appetite suppression. Non-drug therapies, while promising, often fail to hold up over time.
BGaze Focus aims to close this gap by offering a supportive tool that complements traditional treatments or serves as a stand-alone training option. BGaze Focus is redefining the possibilities of ADHD care, whether for individuals coping with ADHD symptoms or for families seeking accessible interventions at home.
The science behind BGaze Focus
At the heart of BGaze Focus are interactive gaze-based games, such as Gaze Slicer and Gaze Surfer, that help users practice skills to improve focus and attention. Based on Braingaze’s expertise in proprietary eye biomarker technology, the app provides an engaging and scientifically-backed method for improving cognitive and attentional development.
Early trials show impressive results: children who participated in gamified treatments experienced a 56% reduction in ADHD symptoms after just three weeks of play.
Benefits for families and clinicians
BGaze Focus is designed with both families and clinicians in mind.
- For families: the app offers a playful and convenient way to help children and adults manage ADHD symptoms, to work on at home between clinic sessions.
- For clinicians: the app will provide tools to track patient progress and adapt treatment plans, ensuring a personalised approach to care.
