Do you know what TECNIO is?

TECNIO is a label awarded by the Generalitat de Catalunya through ACCIÓ and which identifies the knowledge transfer agents of the Catalan R&D&I system.

Its objective is to identify and recognize the most relevant technological agents in Catalonia that can transfer technology and knowledge to companies.

Currently, the University of Barcelona has nine research groups with this label.

What does it mean to have the TECNIO seal?

A center or entity with this seal:

  • Presents differential technological capabilities.
  • Has solid experience in developing R&D&I projects with companies.
  • Has a clear focus on the valorization and commercialization of technology.

Who can obtain it?

  • The group or set of research groups of the university system of Catalonia, both public and private, of the CERCA research centers, of the CSIC centers located in Catalonia and of other public law entities located in Catalonia with differential technological capabilities and experience in carrying out R&D projects with companies.

What is it for?

  • It makes it easier for companies to identify the best technology partners.
  • It gives access to grants and specific support programs for technology transfer.
  • It recognizes leading research groups in innovation.
