The University of Barcelona will be present at BioSpain 2025, one of the most prominent biotechnology events in Europe and one of the largest in the world in terms of volume of professional meetings and business participation. The meeting will be held at the Fira de Barcelona between 7 and 9 October.
The UB’s participation will be channeled through the Bosch i Gimpera Foundation (FBG), the UB’s knowledge transfer office, which will represent the scientific and technological capabilities of several research groups at the university.
These will be some of the UB technologies present at BioSpain 2025:
- sRNA biosignature for the early diagnostic of neurodegenerative diseases
- Nanotechnological eyedrops for glaucoma, dry eye and ocular inflammation
- Gluten degrading protein for the prevention of celiac disease
- RIPLESS: Natural solution to preserve stone fruits
- New rhodium catalysts to improve regioselectivity in hydroformylation
