Successful Closing of the Fifth Edition of the “From Science to Market” Program

On December 12, the closing of the fifth edition of the “From Science to the Market” program took place, a program promoted by the Universities of Barcelona, the Autonomous University of Barcelona, the Polytechnic of Catalonia and Pompeu Fabra, with the aim of promoting the transfer of technology and knowledge from doctoral students or researchers who want to transform their thesis or dissertation into a business project.

In this edition, the program has had the participation of 25 doctoral students from various areas of knowledge, who have received 104 hours of training in various areas of knowledge, personalized mentoring and direct contact with the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Barcelona.

At the closing ceremony, inaugurated by the vice-rectors of transfer Mercè Segarra, Climent Molins, Vanesa Daza and Rosa M. Sebastián, the participants’ proposals were presented:

  • Digital Twin Studio (Carlos Ramonel i Héctor Posada)
  • Essentia (Pablo Alonso Jiménez)
  • TrackTruck (Ali Frapoor)
  • MultiRisk Prevention (Marta López Saavedra)
  • Nanotarg (Patricia Pérez)
  • TranCOR (Sergio Sánchez-Martínez, PhD)
  • D-Painting (Carla Zambrano)
  • Civilus (Héctor Posada Cárcamo)
  • Liles (Lucy Mazera)

Also participating in the event was Clément Lemardelé, a participant in the previous edition and co-founder of Vaive Logistics, who gave an inspiring talk.

Program participants now have the opportunity to continue developing their business projects with the support of the organizing universities and the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Barcelona.
