The University of Barcelona (UB), with the support of the Bosch i Gimpera Foundation, UB\u2019s knowledge transfer office, has secured \u20ac1,697,969.00 in funding under the \u201cPublic-Private Collaboration Projects 2024\u201d call from the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities. The funds will be used to finance eight R&D&I projects carried out by UB researchers in collaboration with companies and other research institutions.<\/p>\n
The projects will run for three years, and the aim of this funding is to support experimental development projects conducted jointly by companies and research organizations, in order to promote the development of new technologies, the business application of new ideas and techniques, and contribute to the creation of new products and services.<\/p>\n
Below are the members of the research staff of the University of Barcelona and the projects they lead that have been recognized in this call:<\/p>\n
Dr. Eva Pardina Arrese<\/strong>, Faculty of Biology, with the project “Study and development of a new strategy to modulate vaginal microbiota using the OXO-001 compound”<\/em>, led by OXOLIFE SL, in collaboration with the University of Barcelona and the Research Institute of Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau. Reference: CPP2024-011376.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Dr. Pilar P\u00e9rez Lozano<\/strong>, Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences, with the project “Final preclinical studies for the development of new molecules to treat fibrotic diseases (DEFIBER IV)”<\/em>, led by GAT Therapeutics SL, in collaboration with the University of Barcelona, Fundaci\u00f3n Hospital General Universitario, and Vall d’Hebron Research Institute.
