FBG organises a training session on orphan drug designation

The Bosch i Gimpera Foundation (FBG), the knowledge transfer office of the University of Barcelona (UB), is organising an in-person training session on obtaining Orphan Drug Designation on 29 October, with a particular focus on the main regulatory aspects associated with this procedure.

The training will be delivered by Asphalion, an international consultancy specialising in regulatory and scientific affairs in the life sciences sector. The session will cover the key general considerations involved in obtaining this designation and will conclude with a Q&A session to address participants’ questions.

Through this initiative, FBG aims to provide UB research groups with specialised knowledge of regulatory aspects that may be relevant to the development and valorisation of biomedical research projects, in line with its role in supporting researchers throughout the process of transferring research results to society.

The session is free of charge and is open to members of University of Barcelona research groups and FBG staff.
