31/07/2026

The Universitat de Barcelona (UB), the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), the Universitat de Girona (UdG), the Universitat de Vic – Universitat Central de Catalunya (UVic-UCC), and the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV) are launching the eighth edition of the From Science to Market program.

This initiative is aimed at master’s and doctoral students interested in transforming the results of their research into business projects or joining entrepreneurial teams. The training is free of charge, in person, and will begin in September.

The objective of the program is to foster entrepreneurship based on scientific knowledge and promote the transfer of research results to society and the business sector. It is especially designed for doctoral candidates, predoctoral and postdoctoral researchers, as well as other research-related professionals who wish to explore the commercialization potential of their projects.

The program includes 100 hours of practical and specialized training on key aspects of creating innovative companies, such as business model development, intellectual property protection, technology validation, and the definition of strategies to launch start-ups or spin-offs.

In addition, participants will receive support from mentors who are experts in innovation and entrepreneurship, and they will have the opportunity to network with researchers, entrepreneurs, and business professionals.

The program will run from September to December 2026 and will combine in-person activities with online sessions, a flexible format that facilitates compatibility with participants’ academic and professional responsibilities.
